The Collezione Genesi on view
From September 21, 2021, the Collezione Genesi is exhibited in the show of Progetto Genesi. Art and Human Rights. The exhibiiton will travel to four different Italian cities, Varese, Assisi, Matera, and Agrigento, chosen because of the importance of their art history and landscape heritage, also attested to by the presence there of UNESCO World Heritage and FAI properties.
The four stops of the exhibition will be inaugurated on the same number of Days established by the United Nations and linked to themes dealt with in the works in the Collection: September 21, 2021, International Day of Peace (opening in Varese); December 18, 2021, International Migrants Day (opening in Assisi); March 8, 2022, International Women’s Day (opening in Matera); June 5, 2022, World Environment Day (opening in Agrigento).
While in Varese the entire Collection Genesi will be shown at Villa e Collezione Panza, property of FAI, whereas in each of the three following cities a representative museum will be set up and one of the works will instead be exhibited inside a local property owned by FAI or FAI-related property, thus encouraging visitors to get to know and appreciate the city’s artistic heritage.
