The Exhibition

Progetto Genesi. Art and Human Rights is an interdisciplinary and traveling initiative, based on the synchronization between the time of the exhibition and the educational segment. From February 22, 2023 to January 28, 2024 it features its second edition, following the excellent results of the first edition held from September 21, 2021 to September 21, 2022.
The exhibition segment consists of a traveling exhibition, curated by Ilaria Bernardi, that, on the occasion of the second edition of Progetto Genesi, will come to three cities: Milan (at Triennale Milano, from February 22 to April 2, 2023); Genoa (at Palazzo del Principe, from April 20 to October 22, 2023); Brescia (at Fondazione Brescia Musei, from November 10, 2023 to January 28, 2024).
On the occasion of the second edition of Progetto Genesi, the exhibition includes the 15 new acquisitions become part of the Collezione Genesi and not exhibited in the first edition of the Project, as well as a nucleus of works in the Collection already exhibited in the first edition.
The Collezione Genesi consists of contemporary artworks by artists from around the world that reflect on the urgent, complex, and often dramatic cultural, environmental, social, and political issues of our day and age. Since the first edition of Progetto Genesi, the exhibition has identified the Collezione Genesi six main theme-based sections through which the works express a message linked to the defense of human rights:
– The Memory of a People– Multicultural Identity– Victims of Power– The Color of a Person’s Skin– The Female Condition– The Safeguarding of the Environment
The additional information regarding the exhibited works and the sections can be found in an innovative app by Hidonix that can be downloaded on mobile phone via QR Code. The app provides an audio guide, as well as the audios by FAI Ponte tra Culture volunteers. FAI Ponte tra Culture is a project aimed at valorizing dialogue and cultural exchange between individuals of different backgrounds and religious beliefs. The app gives also visitors regular updates on the various educational and exhibition activities taking place for the entire duration of Progetto Genesi. Click here to download the App.
