Exhibition program 2025
The Associazione Genesi’s exhibition program 2025, curated by Ilaria Bernardi, marks a turnaround within the Association itself, conferring on it all the functions that are traditionally attributed to a contemporary art museum, but associating them with an itinerant format. As a result, it will be Italy’s first and only traveling contemporary art museum.
To begin with, from 2025 the Association will initiate a series of solo shows, curated by Ilaria Bernardi, dedicated to some of the greatest historicized artists, whose works are not as yet a part of the collection, and whose lives and/or work can be interpreted ex-post as anticipating social themes that have currently become urgent ones (v. Louise Nevelson and Fabio Mauri. De oppressione).
Just as every museum, in addition to temporary exhibitions, at the same time displaying its own collection, reinterpreting it each time vis-à-vis a specific exhibition path, from 2025 the Association will also, alongside the aforementioned solo shows, reinterpret its Collection via collective exhibitions devoted to it, curated by Ilaria Bernardi, for a reflection on the most important social issues today (v. Speculum. De l’autre femme and La vista non è ancora sguardo).
In addition to expanding its Collection with discerning acquisitions, from 2025 the Association will also pay close attention to supporting young Italian art, having to do with social themes, via the commission of new works to be exhibited on the occasion of initiatives produced and co-organized with other institutes and partners (v. Irene Dionisio. Davvero verranno i giorni).
Insights on upcoming exhibitions will be available in the box below starting one week before the relevant opening and will remain available throughout their duration and then can be accessed in “Past Exhibitions” at the bottom of this same page.
